Bill continues to build his portfolios from a new base in Oakland. His work grew substantially with inclusion in many group shows for the Pasadena Society of Artists. One of them, Arches, was used for the cover image on the group's brochure. Several of his pictures found favor with judges Walter Askin, former teacher and active artist, and Sam Mellon, curator and photographer. In addition, Bill finished a project to restore and archive 294 vintage prints for Descanso Gardens. They included portraits of notables like Amelia Earhart, Jimmy Stewart and Spencer Tracy.

Before moving from the Los Angeles area, Bill and Suzanne made a presentation to the Pasadena Fine Arts Club in conjunction with a showing of their work at Cal Tech. In the Bay area, Bill exhibited in a group show at San Francisco’s Rayko Photo Gallery, and has been featured in two "Best Of" books published by Photographer’s Forum Magazine. Four of his vintage black and white news photos are now in the hands of a private collector in the Netherlands.
