Being impressed by the quirky atmosphere in most salons, I painted 3 different chairs from a local salon and barber shop. These pieces are narrative. For example, in Hot Gossip, the hair dryers are anthropomorphic, and thus the flames coming out of the dryer tubes' mouths represent the gossip that usually occurs at these locations.
